Emirati traditional food


Balaleat is a traditional Emirati sweet and salty breakfast dish. This breakfast dish, which is also sometimes served as dessert, consists of vermicelli and eggs as the main ingredients.It is spiced with cardamom, cinnamon, saffron and orange blossoms, and then topped with pistachios.


AlMachboos is very popular dish in gulf specially in the UAE cooked in large pot. It consists of rice, onions and meat, seasoned with spices, salt and dried lemon called loomy. This dish is prepared by cooking meat, spices, dried lemon, and seasoning in boiling water until they are very tender. The meat is taken out and the rice is added to the rest of the ingredients and cooked together, then the meat is returned    
 again to the pot where it is cooked for another one to two hours 

 Luqaimat is kind of arabic sweet Dumpling is very famous dish that Emirati enjoy during Ramadan and other times. pretty easy to make , this dessert takes minimal ingredients, yet tastes absolute awesome if you have ever been to traditional soul where you find the traditional Arabs selling their food stuff, you are sure to find this Luqaimat recipe, arabic sweet Dumpling being made by them on a big skillet. The speed at which they take out the dough and put them in the hot oil is simply a treat to watch
